Kara Nash of Event Alaska has been hired for the third year to assist in logistics and promotion of the Alaska Dog Mushers Association Championship Race Season.
Event Alaska plans and executes events in Fairbanks specializing in fundraising for local non-profit organizations. The owner, Kara Nash has been in Fairbanks for 10 years. She spent the first 6 years in town as the Events Director at the Downtown Association of Fairbanks hosting events like the Midnight Sun Festival, Monday Market and the Winter Solstice Festival. After branching off from the Downtown Association, Event Alaska continues planning the Midnight Sun Festival and many other projects including the GCI Open North American Championship, Fairbanks Day at Pioneer Park, Golden Days Street Fair for the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce, Swap-O-Rama for Green Star of Interior Alaska, Santacon Fairbanks and the Night for the North for the Northern Alaska Environmental Center.
“It is my goal to make planning a significant event in Fairbanks easier to manage for a board or a staff.” says Kara Nash. For the Alaska Dog Mushers Association, Event Alaska helps in soliciting sponsors, fundraising, merchandise planning, vendor relations, event logistics and marketing, allowing time for the Alaska Dog Mushers Association to focus on the trail, the teams, and the races.
