After much discussion, the attending membership voted to change the mileages of 6-dog class for the Gold Run and Limited North American to (9.7, 9.7), and (8, 8, 9.7). There was also a Special Meeting held in May to discuss these changes and the membership elected to create a new 6-dog Classic class with the old mileages (8,8) and (6.2, 6.2, 8).
This will mean our purse and award monies will be stretched between an extra class so please do consider helping with fundraising this year to benefit all! The new class will be run for the championship limited class races only and the 2024/25 ADMA Race Schedule is as follows:
Preliminary 1 – Dec 8 2024
Preliminary 2 – Dec 22, 2024
Preliminary 3 – Jan 12, 2025
Gold Run Championship – Feb 15-16, 2025
Limited North American Championship – March 7-9, 2025
Open North American Championship – March 14-16, 2025
The Recreational Class will also be held for all Preliminary Races, as well as the Gold Run. The class is 4.2 miles.
The skijor subclasses were also eliminated and the event will be held as one 2-dog skijor class.
