I have been out brushing, breaking open and grooming The Jeff Studdert Raceway on the days when the weather allows, progress is slow.

It’s open and groomed through the 19 mile loop and all the shorter turns as well. It’s usable and I would consider it fair to okay, still lots of brush work to be done, more passes with the groomer and shoveling snow into the bigger dips to smooth things out. As we progress we are looking for minimum 8 feet wide, currently its a lot narrower than we would like.

*Caution* There is a new reroute just behind Great Northwest. See highligted YELLOW line on the map below.

Running up on the levy, road, dike as we used too, is impossible as two major areas have sunk into the earth’s core!

Huge thanks to Stan Justice for his trail work, advocacy, trail interns and trail crew. They chose a great line for the reroute and got it in for the 2025/26 season! I really like it and I think other users are going to enjoy the new look in this area as well. Few hundred yards is what it adds to the overall distance, no major changes.
